Genuine cosmetics, delivered sealed
Everything you buy from us is the real product from the brand, purchased from official wholesalers in the EU, with a European ingredients list and expiry date. No fakes, no dubious leftover batches. On this page you can read how we guarantee that and how to use cosmetics safely.
100% genuine brand products · EU-compliant (Regulation 1223/2009)
How do you know for sure it is genuine?
The cosmetics market has a lot of counterfeits, especially with popular mascaras, perfumes and Korean skincare. That is why we only buy from official distributors and wholesalers within the European Union. Every delivery is checked on arrival at our warehouse in East Flanders: packaging intact, seal present, batch number and expiry date legible. Only then does a product go into our stock.
You recognise a genuine product by the European labelling: the ingredients list (INCI) in Dutch or French, the name and address of the responsible person in the EU, the batch number and the open-jar symbol with the period after opening.
So why are we so cheap?
Not because anything is wrong with the products. We buy in bulk and send your order as a letterbox parcel via our sister webshop GoedkopePostzegels.be. That saves a few euros in shipping costs per order, and you see that difference in our prices. Read here exactly how that works.
Shelf life of cosmetics
Every packaging shows either an expiry date (hourglass symbol, for products that keep less than 30 months), or the open-jar symbol with a number of months (e.g. 6M, 12M, 24M): that is how long the product keeps after opening. We only sell products with sufficient remaining shelf life.
| Product | Typically good after opening |
|---|---|
| Mascara and liquid eyeliner | 3 to 6 months |
| Foundation and concealer | 6 to 12 months |
| Lipstick and lip gloss | 12 to 24 months |
| Eye pencil and lip liner | 12 to 24 months |
| Powder, eyeshadow, blush | 24 to 36 months |
| Creams and serums | 6 to 12 months |
| Razor blades | Unlimited in closed packaging |
Safe use
- Eyebrow, eyelash and hair tint: always do an allergy test in the crook of your elbow 48 hours in advance. Follow the brand's instructions. Never use eyelash tint on irritated eyes or with contact lenses in.
- New skincare: introduce one new product at a time and test it on a small patch of skin first.
- Mascara: do not share it with others and replace it after 3 to 6 months to avoid eye infections.
- Razor blades: keep out of reach of children; dispose of used blades in the protective cap with household waste.
- Stop if you notice redness, itching or a burning feeling and rinse with lukewarm water. If symptoms persist, consult your pharmacist, GP or dermatologist.
Returns and hygiene
You have a 14-day cooling-off period. Because cosmetics are hygiene products, we only take back unopened products with the seal intact (art. VI.53, 5° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). A damaged or wrongly delivered product? Send us a photo and we will sort it out right away. Everything about returns is in our returns policy.
